35 kilometres on average per day on horseback within nature are nothing that can be improvised, even if you ride regularly. You’ll be in a saddle for 4 to 7 hours per day, 5 days in a row.

The race is thus designed for rather hardy and experienced outdoor riders who should be in good physical condition and have a feel for horses in order to cope with the distances, as well as the difficult sections of the trail.
The exhaustion due to the weather conditions will add to the muscular tiredness and the lack of sleep. You can imagine that in camps you won’t rest as well as in your own bed.

We strongly recommend that you strengthen you physical activity in order to improve your muscle tone and your endurance. This way, you’ll be in a perfect shape for the big day.

Furthermore, if you ride occasionally, we recommend that you restart a regular equestrian activity to get back in the saddle and obtain a solid balance and be more confident on horseback.
The Gallops adventure will be then an unforgettable experience!
